超級無敵喜歡，must-see! must-see! must-see! 2021 Sundance Film Festival，獲得評審團大獎、評審特別獎、最佳導演與觀眾票選獎等四個獎項。片名《CODA》意即「聾人的小孩 Child of Deaf Adults」作為特定族群的代名詞，其更沈重的意義，是甜蜜的負擔，也是一輩子卸不下命定的枷鎖！身為家中唯一正常人，打從出生那一刻起便肩負「翻譯員」的責任，讓人們似乎都忘了「CODA」也是獨立個體，有自我意識也擁有追求完整人生的權利，總在為他人發聲的他們，一路在等著拿回自身話語權的一天！「我們是演員，不是聽障演員。」擔綱演出Ruby爸媽和哥哥的 3 位演員，在現實中都是失聰人士，他們特別與觀眾分享，「人們所認為的聽障是一種缺陷和阻礙，其實卻是最佳助力，我們有更細膩的觀察力、能說的語言和表演方式都比常人多了一種！」身為聽障家庭唯一聰耳的Ruby，注定從小成為靠捕魚維生家人的翻譯員，其彼此的感情相當緊密，但在學校卻因特殊家庭背景受到同學嘲笑，在家還要忍耐無法控制音量的家人製造的噪音聲響，造成她長期以來的自信心缺乏，彷彿被命運給開了個大玩笑，雖然出身聾啞家庭，平時最大的興趣卻是「唱歌」！因爲心儀的男生，而陰錯陽差參加了學校合唱團，而被老師發掘歌唱天賦，推薦鼓勵她爭取，從來不敢夢想的伯克利音樂學院獎學金；然而當她興沖沖的與家人分享這個消息，換來的卻是家人的不解、困惑、與被背叛感。講的是追逐夢想的八股主題，卻因爲特別的聼障背景，棒到不行的主題音樂，讓人驚艷的18歲女主（Emilia Jones），據説之前花了九個月學手語，上聲樂課，學會操作拖網漁船，她細膩刻劃了一位青少女的成長，藉由Ruby的善良體貼，憑著與家人之間無可取代的情感，小小年紀責任一肩挑，在家庭、夢想與愛情中尋找自我，渴望自由也想要歸屬，其實人生中並不存在所謂的平衡，只有取與捨，失與得，逃避與承擔！家，可以是心中膩死人的甜蜜，也可能是甩不掉的羈絆。是一部讓你在心中默默祈禱永遠別 The End，笑到流淚，暖到爆炸的難得好片！
